Shapero joined LinkedIn in May 2008 as one of its early employees, at a time when the company was still in its early stages of growth. Sharing about it on the professional networking platform, he mentioned, “As I step into this role, similar to how I have approached new responsibilities in the past, I’ll start by learning and listening… connecting with our team, members, creators, and customers, each of whom make LinkedIn the platform that helps create economic opportunity.”
Shapero has replaced Ryan Roslansky as CEO. In his post, he thanked Mike Gamson for hiring him and helping to build a strong organisational culture, and Ryan Roslansky for his leadership and partnership over many years.
Earlier in his career, Shapero worked with Bain & Company, Paramark and Zembu, gaining experience across strategy and business operations.
