Tata Motors names DP Nambiar as Chief Human Resources Officer

- Tata Motors Limited has appointed DP Nambiar as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 29, 2026, succeeding Sitaram Kandi, who resigned to transition to another Tata Group company.
- Nambiar previously served as Vice President and Head of HR for Geographies and Corporate Functions at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), bringing nearly 30 years of HR leadership experience.
- Sudipto Kumar Das has resigned as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective June 1, to move to another company within the Tata Group.
- Ranjan Kumar has been appointed as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, also effective June 1, joining from SKF India Limited with over 25 years of experience in legal and corporate affairs.
Tata Motors Limited has announced changes to its key managerial and senior management personnel, including the appointment of DP Nambiar as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective 29 May 2026.
The company said Nambiar will succeed Sitaram Kandi, who has resigned from CHRO role with effect from the close of business hours on 28 May, following his proposed transition to another Tata Group company.
Nambiar joins from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he currently serves as Vice President and Head of HR for Geographies and Corporate Functions, Mumbai. He brings nearly three decades of experience across HR leadership roles in India, Europe and USA.
Separately, Tata Motors also announced the resignation of Sudipto Kumar Das as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective 1 June, as he transitions to another company within the group. Ranjan Kumar has been appointed as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer from the same date.
Ranjan Kumar joins the company from SKF India Limited, where he served as Director – Ethics, Legal, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, bearing responsibility for India, South- East Asia and the Middle East. He has more than 25 years of experience across legal, secretarial, ethics, corporate affairs, and sustainability.
The changes were approved and noted by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on 13 May, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
