Cipla Ltd has appointed Achin Gupta as its new Managing Director and Global Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 April 2026. He is currently serving as the MD & Global Chief Executive Officer (Designate).
In his new role, Gupta is expected to lead efforts to expand the company’s market reach, strengthen operational performance and drive innovation across its range of treatments.
Gupta has more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Before joining Cipla, he spent over eight years at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, returning for a second term after previously working with the company between 2004 and 2012. He has also held positions at Abbott Laboratories and A.T. Kearney.
