Rakesh Gupta has been promoted to Deputy General Manager (DGM) - FMCG Buying & Merchandising at Reliance Retail. Gupta, who made the annoucement recently via LinkedIn, has been in the new role since April 2026.
Prior to the promotion, he served as Assistant General Manager at Reliance Retail.
He brings experience across retail and FMCG, with expertise in category management, trade marketing, sales promotion, negotiations and business development.
Before joining Reliance Retail, he worked with Big Bazaar - Future Retail for over nine years. His earlier stints include FieldFresh Foods, Reckitt Benckiser and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.
