Rajendra Mehta, President and Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Suzlon Group, has stepped down from his role at the company. An official communication from Suzlon on the development is awaited.

Mehta joined Suzlon in December 2022 with the mandate of leading the organisation’s HR function. During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy and implementing initiatives focused on talent, culture and organisational effectiveness.

With over 30 years of experience in human resources, Mehta has held leadership positions across diverse areas such as talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, organisational change, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and technology-led HR transformation. His professional journey spans sectors including engineering, media and entertainment, retail, financial services and manufacturing.

Prior to Suzlon, Mehta was associated with several leading organisations in senior HR roles. He served as Global Chief People Officer at Zee Entertainment, where he worked towards strengthening organisational capabilities and developing a future-ready workforce. Earlier, he held leadership positions at DHFL, DCM Shriram, VNL, Synergy Capital and the Times Group.

Mehta’s association with the Times Group was one of the significant phases of his career, where he spent close to a decade in various HR leadership roles, eventually taking on the position of Vice President and Head of Human Resources. During this period, he contributed to building HR frameworks, aligning people practices with business goals and supporting organisational growth.

A postgraduate in Human Resources, Mehta’s next professional move remains unknown. Details on his successor and the company’s future HR leadership plans are awaited.
