Preeti Sahni has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Fortune India and OPEN Media at the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group, bringing to a close a tenure that began in January 2024.

Highly placed sources have confirmed this development to e4m.

Sahni was appointed to lead Fortune India and OPEN Media at the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group with a mandate to sharpen editorial focus, strengthen brand positioning, and drive business growth across platforms. During her time as CEO, she was closely involved in steering the publications through a competitive and rapidly evolving media environment marked by shifts in readership behaviour, advertiser expectations and digital-first consumption.

Before joining the RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group, Sahni spent over seven years at Network18 Media & Investments Limited, where she held dual responsibilities. As Chief Operating Officer of Forbes India, she oversaw operations and business strategy, while simultaneously serving as Senior Vice President – International Business, a role that involved managing global partnerships and premium media alliances. Her tenure at Network18 was marked by a strong focus on brand-led growth and international content collaborations.

Sahni’s career spans nearly two decades across some of India’s most influential media houses. She previously served as National Vertical Head – International & Luxury at The Times Group, where she built and scaled luxury and international business portfolios. Prior to that, she was Product Head for India Today English and Luxury Business at India Today Group, contributing to the expansion of premium content and advertiser ecosystems.

Her earlier stints include leadership roles at Hindustan Times, as well as a brief corporate consulting phase at Oracle, which added a strategic and technology-oriented dimension to her media career.
