Commenting on his appointment, Nirmal Shah said: “The media landscape today is increasingly fragmented, with brands looking for integrated solutions rather than standalone advertising opportunities. Pune Times Mirror is uniquely positioned at this intersection bringing together Print, Digital, Events, Branded Content, Performance and Audience Engagement under one platform. I look forward to working with the team to build innovative, measurable marketing solutions that create value for advertisers while strengthening our presence across every touchpoint.”

Commenting on the appointment, Pankaj Sharma, CMD, The Lexicon Group and Pune Times Mirror, said: “With the launch of our Mumbai edition, many people have asked whether we intend to compete with The Times of India. My answer is simple we have immense respect for what Sameer Jain, Sivakumar Sundaram, and their teams have built over the years. Our ambition is not to replicate their journey, but to build Pune Times Mirror in our own way as a credible, innovative, and integrated media platform that delivers value to readers, advertisers, and the communities we serve.

The media industry is evolving rapidly, and brands today seek integrated marketing solutions rather than isolated media buys. Nirmal’s expertise across Print, Digital, OTT, Events, Branded Content, and Sponsorships makes him the ideal leader to help us build that future. His experience and strategic vision will play a key role as we scale Pune Times Mirror into one of India’s most progressive integrated media brands.”
