Zee Entertainment Enterprises has named Sandeep Mehrotra as its new Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue, effective February 3, 2026.
In his new role, Sandeep will focus on strengthening and growing the company’s advertising revenues by bringing together opportunities across television and digital platforms. He will be based at Zee’s Mumbai headquarters and will report directly to CEO Punit Goenka.
Laxmi Shetty will continue to head the advertisement revenue function for both broadcast and digital, working closely with Sandeep to further accelerate revenue growth.
Commenting on the appointment, Punit Goenka said that the changing media environment calls for smarter, results-driven monetisation approaches across platforms. He added that Sandeep’s strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem and his experience in building integrated revenue models across linear and digital media will help Zee create a more sustainable and diversified growth engine for the future.
Sharing his thoughts on joining Zee, Sandeep Mehrotra said he is excited to be part of the company at a key stage in its growth journey. He noted that Zee’s strong presence across both TV and digital offers a valuable opportunity to deepen advertiser relationships and build a more connected and scalable advertising revenue framework.
Sandeep brings extensive experience in managing large businesses, driving monetisation across multiple portfolios, and leading growth in consumer-focused organisations. Before joining Zee, he was associated with Culver Max Entertainment (earlier Sony Pictures Networks India), where he served as Head of Advertisement Sales – Network Channels.
