Sandeep Mehrotra, Executive Vice President-Sales, at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), has stepped down from his role, according to sources.

The development comes as Mehrotra is believed to be stepping away from the role due to health reasons.

A seasoned media professional, Mehrotra has spent over 25 years at SPNI.

Mehrotra, who joined the company in the year 2000, held multiple roles across channels and regions within the company, and in his most recent position, was responsible for strategizing, planning, and driving revenues across the network’s ad sales function.

He has been instrumental in building long-term client relationships and driving innovation within the sales vertical. Known for his practical, client-first approach, he often spoke about the importance of building repeat business and adapting to changing market realities.

Prior to Sony, he was with Bennet Coleman and Co Ltd as Executive Assistant to MD from 1997 to 2000 where he was responsible for turning around the regionocetric offering of the Delhi region and turning around brands from fledging non profitable to superiorly profitable.

“This was my first foray in sales & start of a life long journey of sales with gush of adrenaline with every new deal,” he said on his Linkedin profile.

There is no official statement from Mehrotra and SPNI at the moment.
