Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) has appointed Dan Bailey as President, Jio Platforms. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company's international growth and expansion initiatives.
Based in London, Bailey will report directly to Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. He will also become a member of Jio Platforms' Executive Committee and contribute to the company's broader strategic initiatives.
Before joining Jio, Bailey served as Chairman of Deutsche Bank's Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) practice. He brings more than 30 years of experience in consulting and investment banking, having held senior leadership positions at organisations such as Schroders/Citi, Morgan Stanley, and HSBC.
Welcoming him to the company, Akash Ambani said Bailey has been a trusted advisor to Jio for several years and has played an important role in supporting the company's growth journey. He added that Bailey's deep understanding of the global technology and telecom sectors, combined with his strong industry relationships and strategic expertise, will help drive Jio's international ambitions.
