Geeta Mohan elevated to Group Editor, Foreign Affairs at India Today

Geeta Mohan has been elevated to the position of Group Editor – Foreign Affairs at India Today, marking a significant expansion of her editorial responsibilities at the network.

In her new role, Mohan will continue to lead the network’s coverage of international relations, diplomacy and geopolitical developments. She will also remain closely involved with India Today Global, the group’s multiplatform initiative focused on global politics and international affairs.

Mohan has been associated with India Today for several years and has built a strong reputation for reporting from the ground. Her journalistic assignments have taken her to conflict zones and politically sensitive regions, including Afghanistan, Ukraine and Iran.

She has also interviewed several prominent global leaders and policymakers, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Her reporting has combined access to global decision-makers with an emphasis on explaining the implications of international developments for Indian audiences.

Apart from heading the foreign affairs desk, Mohan anchors World Today, India Today’s programme dedicated to international news and geopolitical analysis. Through the show, she has covered major conflicts, diplomatic negotiations, elections and shifts in the global balance of power.
