Dina Powell McCormick has been appointed President and Vice Chairman at Meta. She has previously been a key member of Meta’s Board of Directors and has worked closely with the company as it advances its efforts in frontier AI and personal superintelligence.
 
In her new role, Dina will join Meta’s management team and help shape the company’s overall strategy and execution. She will work closely with the compute and infrastructure teams to ensure that Meta’s multi-billion-dollar investments are aligned with long-term objectives and deliver positive economic impact in the regions where the company operates globally.
 
She will also be responsible for developing new strategic capital partnerships and exploring innovative ways to expand Meta’s long-term investment capacity.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Dina’s experience at the highest levels of global finance, along with her strong international relationships, makes her well suited to support Meta during its next phase of growth as President and Vice Chairman.
 
Dina brings more than 25 years of experience across global finance, national security, and economic development. She spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a partner and held several senior leadership roles, including serving on the firm’s Management Committee and leading its Global Sovereign Investment Banking business. During this time, she also led major economic development initiatives such as 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, and One Million Black Women, which focus on driving long-term economic opportunity worldwide.
 
In public service, Dina has worked with two US presidents. She served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald J. Trump and earlier held roles as Senior White House Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State under President George W. Bush during the tenure of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
 
Most recently, Dina served as Vice Chair, President, and Head of Global Client Services at BDT & MSD Partners.
