The Trade Desk has announced the appointment of Arpit Tyagi as Director – Client Services, strengthening its leadership team in India. Tyagi brings over 14 years of diverse experience across advertising, retail, consumer electronics, and luxury business management.

Before joining The Trade Desk, Tyagi was with Amazon India for more than seven years, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s advertising business and its positioning within the agency ecosystem. Most recently, he served as Head – Agency Business, Amazon Ads, enabling pan-India agency partners to drive adoption of e-commerce ad solutions across brands and sellers.

In his earlier role as Lead – Agency Partnerships, Amazon Ads (Nov 2022 – Jan 2024), Tyagi focused on driving revenue growth with product adoption and scaling full-funnel Amazon advertising solutions among independent agencies. He also held an additional responsibility as Program Lead – miniTV, Amazon’s video streaming service, where he developed the GTM and ad monetization strategy for content across tech, comedy, short movies, and web series formats.

Previously, as Category Lead – Shoes and Apparel (2018–2022), he was instrumental in scaling revenue and driving non-linear growth for Amazon Ads within the fashion category.

Experience Across Premium, Electronics and Retail Sectors
Prior to his Amazon tenure, Tyagi worked with Pernod Ricard as National Key Accounts Manager – Premium and Luxury Business (2015–2018). In this role, he managed the entire P&L and portfolio growth across the duty-free channel for more than 15 premium brands, spanning scotch, wine, liqueurs, cognac, whisky, vodka, single malts, and gin. His responsibilities included commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, promotions, visibility, and workforce management.

He began his career with VIP Industries Limited as Cluster Retail Manager – Retail and Modern Trade (North India) (2011–2013), where he set up and developed the modern trade channel for brands such as VIP, Skybags, Carlton, Aristocrat, Caprese, and Alfa. He managed COCO/franchise store operations across North India, leading a team of three ASEs and over 200 store managers and promoters.

Later, he joined Samsung Electronics (2013–2015) as Key Account Manager – Modern Trade (Consumer Electronics), handling key accounts for the TV and home appliances division. He was responsible for retail operations, business planning, trade marketing, partner negotiations, and manpower planning to grow Samsung’s market share across leading modern trade accounts.

Arpit Tyagi holds an MBA in Marketing from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.
