JCDecaux completes five years in India

JCDecaux, a leading global outdoor advertising company, celebrated five years of its presence in India on May 4.

The JDCDecaux team, its clients and industry officials gathered at ITC Maurya, Delhi to raise a toast. The presence of the Delhi Daredevils added spice to the event.

While speaking at the event, Pramod Bhandula, MD of the company expressed gratitude for the support extended by top authorities, clients and agents to make the company’s operations in India successful. He pointed out that JDCDecaux was “the first in Asia to introduce street furniture”.

Bhandula took the opportunity to disclose that the company has signed up with Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation to install 419 bus shelters.

Frederic Brun, Director – Operations spoke about his experience of being in India since starting operations here. “Markets in Europe were more mature then but India was an interesting challenge,” he said.

Mandeep Malhotra, President, DDB Mudra was also present at the occasion. He said that it is good to see the outdoor media progressing and that it is about time to get professionalism in the industry.

With JCDecaux being the official outdoor partner for the Delhi Daredevils team, Irfan Pathan, Doug Bracewell, Gulam Bodi, Naman Ojha and Manpreet Juneja were also present at the event.
