Sun TV Network posted a marginal rise in income for the third quarter of FY26, but higher operating costs and increased depreciation weighed on profitability during the period. The Advertisement Revenues for the third quarter of FY26 was at Rs 291.94 crore as against Rs.332.17 crore for the corresponding quarter.

Total income for the quarter stood at ₹999 crore, up 3.1% from ₹969 crore in Q3 FY25. For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2025, revenue rose 10.8% to ₹3,918 crore compared with ₹3,536 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Expenses grew at a faster pace than income. Total expenses for the quarter increased 11.4% to ₹558 crore from ₹501 crore a year ago. For the nine-month period, expenses climbed 25.4% to ₹2,264 crore in FY26 from ₹1,806 crore in FY25.

Depreciation and amortization expenses remained flat year-on-year at ₹113 crore in the December quarter. However, for the nine-month period, the figure jumped 47.8% to ₹625 crore from ₹423 crore in the previous fiscal.

Reflecting the higher cost base, profit for Q3 FY26 declined 11% to ₹324 crore from ₹364 crore in the year-ago quarter. For the nine-month period, profit fell 9.3% to ₹1,208 crore compared with ₹1,332 crore in FY25.

EBITDA for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, stood at ₹409.79 crore, down 5.2% from ₹432.14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, indicating pressure on operating margins despite the rise in income.
