Star Plus maintains top spot in urban market, Rishtey leads in rural: BARC
According to BARC data for week 50 (December 10-16), Colors and Sony Entertainment Television came second and third respectively in the urban market; Zee Anmol and Sony Pal were second and third respectively in the rural market

The pattern of Star Plus leading the urban market, followed by Colors and Sony Entertainment Television continues according to BARC data for week 50 (December 10-16). Rishtey maintained its top position in the rural market. In the overall market Star Plus claimed its top position with 669 million impressions followed by Colors (668 million impressions) and Zee TV (477 million impressions) in the second and third position.
Star Plus continued to rule the urban market with improved 456 million impressions as against 438 million impressions in week 49 (December 3-9).
Colors too maintained its second spot with 448 million impressions, again an improvement from 436 million impressions the previous week.
Sony Entertainment Television held the third spot with 311 million impressions, compared to 308 million impressions in week 49.
Zee TV was at fourth spot with 282 million impressions, against 270 million impressions in week 49.
Life Ok moved up to fifth spot garnering 267 million impressions from 263 million impressions the previous week.
Rishtey led the rural market, however its ratings dropped from 326 million impressions in week 49 to 306 million impressions.
Zee Anmol climbed up to the second spot with 290 million impressions, as against 288 million impressions garnered by the channel in the previous week.
Sony Pal slipped to third spot with 286 million impressions.
Star Utsav maintained its fourth spot with 250 million impressions while Colors moved up to fifth position with 220 million impressions.
