Game shows seem to have caught the fancy of STAR India. A few weeks back the group decided to air around 85 new episodes of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) beginning in April 2005, and now, the group is re-launching its popular game show 'Khulja Sim Sim' that went off air last October. Deepak Segal, Sr VP, Content and Communications, said the show would be aired in prime time slot and would hit the screens by October.
Elaborating further, he added there would be change in anchor. This time, Aman Verma would be replaced by Hussain of 'Kumkum' fame. BAG Films have now been bestowed with the production of the show instead of Optymistix, the previous production house.
BAG Films Chairman and Managing Director Anuradha Prasad informed that the basic format would remain the same. However, there would be a lot of innovations and value additions to the show including a new logo. New sets and rounds would be some major innovations. However, an ad campaign on the scheduled October re-launch of the show would get rolling soon, she said.
