Prasar Bharati re-invites bids for vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish

The e-auction is expected to be held on 02.06.2020; bids invited are for allotments for the period 10.06.2020 to 31.03.2021

Prasar Bharati has again invited applications from satellite TV channels for vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish DTH Platform on a pro-rata basis for the period 10.06.2020 to 31.03.2021.

This comes following the postponing of the e-auction process notified on 18.03.2020.

The e-auction process is now open and the online bidding is expected to be held on 02.06.2020.

The categorization of TV channels in different buckets is in accordance with the genres or language of the channel and their starting reserve price will remain the same as provided on 18.03.2020.

Successful bidders shall be required to make the payments in seven monthly instalments as per the payment schedule set in policy guidelines for allotment of DD Free Dish slots.

While the processing fee has been fixed at Rs 25,000, the fee to participate in the bidding is Rs 1.5 crore.

Broadcasters who have submitted their applications before postponing of the e-auction need not apply again.

The last date for submission of the applications or Original Demand Draft for participation fee in case of an online application is 01.06.2020.
