NDTV has rejoined the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) measuring system.
NDTV India has recorded a 2% market share in the Hindi News HSM category, as per BARC India data.
In March 2022, NDTV pulled out of the BARC system, citing issues like the need for more meters, system infirmities, a lack of transparency, and a perception of corruption.
NDTV had then told e4m: "NDTV has repeatedly pointed out that a far larger sample (of meters) is needed if BARC is serious about ensuring a measurement process that cannot be rigged or manipulated."
"Unfortunately, the changes that BARC is offering as it resumes reporting TRPs are alarmingly insubstantial," then NDTV Group President Suparna Singh had said.
The channel had also said that it doesn't find it feasible to subscribe to BARC India's rating system till it is reconfigured.
