Phase III: Delhi crosses Rs 124 crore, no takers for Ahmedabad
Day 7 of the first stage of the Phase III auctions ended with now a total of 28 rounds having occurred. Though Delhi and Mumbai had a strong showing, news was not that good for all cities
Delhi crossed Rs 124 crore, which was the provisional winning price at the end of Round 28, at the end of Day 7 of the Phase III auctions. The capital now has one bid for its one frequency, all other bidders having dropped out. However, this might change tomorrow.
Mumbai now has 2 bids for its 2 frequencies at an amount of approximately Rs 88 crore.
Ahmedabad, which was so highly valued last week, did not see even a single bid at the end of bidding yesterday. At one point of time, it had 4 bids but with the bidding price now over Rs 43 crore, it seems to have given many a pause. Bhubaneshwar saw its bid price increase to Rs over Rs 5 crore and now has 5 bids for its single frequency.
Guwahati now has 2 bids for its single frequency with the provisional winning price at Rs 1.41 crore. Though Mumbai’s bidding price might have tapered off, Bangalore is still seeing considerable interest. It now has 3 bids for its single frequency with the price now over Rs 80 crore.
Chennai also seen interest fall away with just 1 bid, down from 4 last week, with the provisional winning price at over Rs 37 crore.
In the north, Jaipur has two bids for its single frequency with the closing price now just under Rs 13 crore. Jodhpur has one bid with the price over Rs 2 crore.
Hyderabad still remained static with three bids at Rs 18 crore and has one excess frequency but apparently no takers.
