The editions will be printed and published at Hassan now. Previously, copies were transported from Bangalore to Hassan district.

Further, a 'students' edition' of the group's English daily, Vijay Times, is slated for launched on October 20. A separate team had been put in place to handle the new edition, and the paper would have more soft stories and content designed for the student population, according to L Ramanand Bhat, Executive Managing Editor, Vijay Times, and Director, Vijayanand Roadways Ltd. The students' edition will be available in Bangalore.

Speaking to exchange4media, Bhat said, "It has been conceptualised with school students in mind. The content mix of 10 pages will focus entirely on students. We have a separate team working on that. Many schools have evinced keen interest in the concept. We are confident that in six months time, the student's edition with have a circulation of 20,000 copies."

The students' edition will be priced at Re 1, and a subscription package exclusively for school students with further concession is being worked upon.

The group is also working on an edition for the senior population, though this will be launched at a later date.
