Senior journalist Deepak Upadhyay has taken charge as Consulting Editor of the Hindi daily Swadesh Jyoti. In a conversation with Samachar4Media, Upadhyay confirmed his new role.
Upadhyay brings with him a long and distinguished career in journalism. Over the years, he has held key responsibilities at prominent media organisations such as Rajasthan Patrika, Amar Ujala, Zee News, and Dainik Bhaskar.
With experience spanning both print and electronic media, he has extensively reported and analysed critical subjects including national affairs, politics, social issues, and the energy sector. Beyond reporting, Upadhyay has been actively involved in shaping editorial strategies.
In his new role at Swadesh Jyoti, Upadhyay will focus on content planning, developing special editorial series, expanding digital presence, and enhancing overall editorial quality. He is also expected to formulate strategies to strengthen the newspaper’s online and social media platforms.
Upadhyay’s appointment is expected to provide new direction to Swadesh Jyoti as the publication reportedly prepares to launch several new initiatives and special campaigns aimed at highlighting social concerns and development-related topics in the coming months.
