Circulation figures though throw up a mixed bag. Where news magazines like India Today, Outlook and Week have seen a rise in circulation women targeted mags like Femina, Women’s Era and Filmafare have seen their circulation go down.
The figures released recently for the period July–Dec 2002, India Today (English) saw a surge in circulation to 444,720 copies up from 432,083 for the previous six months. This translates into a rise of 2.9%. Outlook and Week too grew by 6.8% and 8.4% respectively to record circulation of 247,110 and 192,397 respectively.
