Senior journalist Kalyan Kar has passed away.
Kalyan Kar, had a long journalistic and editorial career, including 4 and half years of leading exchange4media.com in its formative years from June 2004 to October 2008.
Kar, who passed away on February 7, is survived by his wife Mitali Kar.
He had been battling health issues for the last few years.
Kalyan Kar served as Business Editor of Times of India from 1998 to 2000.
He had also served as Resident Editor of The Times of India from June 2000 to July 2001.
He moved on from e4m.com towards the end of 2008 but continued to be actively working for various websites and business publications.
Kalyan da is remembered by his colleagues as a good natured, old-world journalist and editor who left a positive imprint wherever he worked and nurtured relationships with his colleagues.
