Senior sports journalist Adesh Kumar Gupta has passed away. He was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment for several months. Gupta breathed his last on 12 February 2025.
He was associated with BBC Hindi for a long time. He used to bring sports news to people for years through the program Khel aur Khiladi on BBC Hindi Radio. He also wrote many memorable reports on bbchindi.com.
Along with this, he also contributed as a commentator and sports journalist in All India Radio. Adesh Kumar Gupta had a strong grip on sports news. He covered many big sports events. He was also among the founding members of BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year Awards.
