Meta has held discussions in recent weeks to invest in fintech startup Cred in a deal that could value the company at around $4 billion.
According to a Moneycontrol report, the proposed valuation is marginally higher than Cred's estimated valuation of $3.5 billion in 2025.
Other reports said Meta has also explored alternative deal structures, including a potential full acquisition at a lower valuation and the possibility of Cred founder Kunal Shah taking on an operating role within the company.
Meta already operates WhatsApp Pay in India and overlaps with Cred in certain segments of the digital payments market.
