KBK launches Poll Graphics package for 2009 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections

News graphics agency KBK has come out with a special Poll Graphics package for the print and web media covering both the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly elections being held simultaneously in few states in April-May 2009.
The KBK Poll Graphics package offers integrated and comprehensive coverage from pre-election to post-election period, complete with ready-to-print and uploadable graphics. The product can also be useful in the form of backgrounders and ready reckoner for bureaus, research teams and editors.
Commenting on the offer, Vijay Kumar, Managing Editor, KBK News Graphics, said, “There is a demand within news media for an integrated election product combining research, data, data analysis and branded properties. We have come out with a winner product that is modular in nature. KBK’s Poll Graphics product menu is quite elaborate and is divided into several sub-packages. The States Scan package is a micro-editorial study that lends itself to a macro interplay to help draw the big picture. The package is further broken up into (through detailed colour-coded graphics) sub-properties showing constituency wise winners in the last Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections, vote shares and a bird’s eye view of the outcome of past elections. The Poll Fact file sub-package comprises graphics highlighting interesting election-related statistics and information like cost of polls, age and educational profile of MPs, reservation in Parliament, representation of women in Parliament, aspirants per seat, etc.
KBK Poll Graphics will track various poll phases with graphics on areas/ constituencies polling in each phase, highlighting information like male/female contestants, party wise candidates, electors, polling booths, EVMs being used, etc. Graphics based on data and information flowing out of various sources during the poll process will be also provided. Another highlight will be the graphics showing state-wise maps of the newly delimited constituencies. The Poll on Poll sub-product has graphics offering a reality check by highlighting the various opinion polls and the final results.
At the time of polling, KBK has lined up India Verdict 2009, offering poll outcome graphics as the election results pour in.
