Founder of Hansa Research Ashok Kumar Das is no more. He was the Non-Executive Director before selling the company to Swamy brothers.
Ashok Das was associated with the industry for nearly four decades and was considered the architect of India's market research industry.
He was also known for backing initiatives like the Indian Readership Survey, the Rural SEC, and television meter service INTAM.
Das also gave back to the industry with his stints as guest lecturer at institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay.
He started his career with Exide Industries in 1978 after graduating from IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta.
