Renowned author, leadership mentor and knowledge coach Radhakrishnan Pillai passed away on Monday night after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest in Mangalore. He was 50.
Born on November 21, 1974, Pillai was widely regarded for bringing the timeless wisdom of Chanakya to contemporary audiences through his books, lectures and training programmes. He authored 24 books, many of which became bestsellers, with his works on Chanakya earning particular acclaim among readers, students and business leaders.
A sought-after speaker, Pillai was a familiar and respected presence at literary festivals, management forums and college events across India. Through his writings and teachings, he inspired thousands with his insights on leadership, strategy, management and Indian philosophy.
In a condolence message shared by his family, they described him as “a beautiful soul” whose “values, love, and inspiration shared through a lifetime remain eternal in the hearts of many.” The family said his legacy would continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The Antim Sanskar (last rites) will be held in Mumbai on Tuesday. Family and well-wishers have been invited to pay their respects from 11:00 am onwards at Shreevardhan Apartments in Mulund (East), with the funeral ceremony scheduled for 3:00 pm.
