Cafe Coffee Day Founder V G Siddhartha missing

Siddhartha was last seen on Monday night; the police have launched search operations

V G Siddhartha, the Founder of Cafe Coffee Day, has gone missing, according to news reports.

Some reports have said that a letter from him has been found in which he has addressed Cafe Coffee Day shareholders and the board of directors.

Siddhartha was on his way to Mangaluru on Monday night when he asked his driver to stop on a bridge across Nethravathi river and got off his car. He has not been seen since then, the reports say. He is suspected to have committed suicide. 

The police have been conducting search operations in the river. 

Siddhartha, 58, was married to former Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna’s daughter and they have two children.
