United Colours of Benetton (UCB), in its yet another attempt to address social causes, has launched a powerful campaign #UnitedByVote, urging the youth to exercise the power of vote in this Lok Sabha elections. The campaign celebrates democracy in its true sense, making every Indian realise the importance to contribute to nation building through vote. The launch was held at the Jai Hind colleague in Mumbai and witnessed a thoughtful panel discussion with speakers such as Saif Ali Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Sundeep Kumar Chugh, CEO & MD, Benetton India.

Emphasising on the importance of voting in a democracy, Saif Ali Khan said, "Not voting shouldn't be an option! Any government or any leader should fear the power of unity and the power of vote that we have. The political parties have realised that they need to put out their manifestos. So you have to read, find out things and then vote."

Bhumi Pednekar urged the youth to be the change that they desire. “Instead of complaining about the system, we need to take some responsibility on the individual level. Casting our vote gives us the power to bring in the best government. Voting is the largest festival in India when 9 million people come together to vote and choose a government made for us and by us. Voting is just not our fundamental right, it's our duty towards the nation," she said.

"Hum nahi karenge to kaun karega. So please go and vote for yourself, choose your leader and your own government," said Siddhanth Chaturvedi.

Speaking about #UnitedByVote campaign, Sundeep Kumar Chugh, CEO & MD- Benetton India, said, “Benetton Group has always been supporting social causes and taking strong stands with no diplomacy. That has been a part of our DNA. Today's younger generation is not afraid to take a stand and voice its opinions on larger issues. The campaign 'UniteByVote' is Benetton's initiative to create a more meaningful voice, bringing together the youth and the diverse pillars of our society to create a more encompassing and a united nation which exercises its power of vote rightfully."

The manifesto of the campaign emphasised on the real power that is the power of the vote that does not lie with the political parties but the power lies within us. The campaign asks the citizens to show the power by exercising their right to vote.

The campaign launched a video which shows references of political leaders making promises to the public until a finger in blue ink mark comes to shut their mouths, as a power of democracy displaying the right to vote. The film ends with a title 'Show them who has the power' followed by#UnitedByVote.
