Maruti Suzuki India Ltd increased its advertising expenditure to Rs 11,275 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, marking an 8.3% rise from Rs 10,409 million in FY24, according to their annual report.
The company attributed the higher marketing spend to intensified digital campaigns, enhanced social listening efforts, and broader outreach initiatives aimed at meeting evolving consumer expectations in the digital age.
The strategy was focused on strengthening brand connect and customer engagement, which contributed to a 7% growth in enquiries during the year.
Despite the uptick in marketing-led interest, the share of first-time car buyers remained largely unchanged from the previous year. The company noted this trend reflects persistent affordability challenges in the entry-level segment.
For the year ended March 31, 2025, the company posted a total income of Rs 157.94 crore, reflecting an increase of 8.2% over Rs 145.95 crore recorded in FY24. Total revenue from operations for FY25 stood at Rs 152.91 crore, up 7.8% from Rs 141.86 crore in the previous year.
Profit for FY25 stood at Rs 145.00 crore, up 7.5% from Rs 134.88 crore in FY24.
