Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported a moderate decline in revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, with consolidated revenue from operations at Rs 38,605.2 crore, down 5.7 percent from Rs 40,920.1 crore in the March quarter. On a year-on-year basis, revenue rose 7.9 percent compared to Rs 35,779.4 crore reported in Q1 FY25.

Total income, including other income of Rs 1,888.2 crore, stood at Rs 40,493.4 crore, down 4.6 percent sequentially but up 9.9 percent from Rs 36,839.9 crore in the same period last year.

Net profit for the quarter was Rs 3,792.4 crore, down 3.0 percent from Rs 3,911.1 crore in Q4 FY25 but marginally higher than Rs 3,759.7 crore recorded in Q1 FY25, reflecting the company’s ability to maintain earnings despite topline pressure.

The company’s margin performance during the quarter was shaped by a mix of positive and negative factors. On the positive side, cost reduction initiatives, lower manufacturing and administrative expenses, reduced advertisement spending, and higher non-operating income helped support margins.

However, these gains were partially offset by adverse commodity prices, unfavorable foreign exchange movement, higher employee expenses, increased sales promotion costs, and expenses linked to the new Kharkhoda greenfield plant.
