Accepting the CMO Data-Driven Marketing Award at the Pitch CMO Awards 2026, Girish Hingorani, Vice President – Marketing (Unitary Cooling Products Group) and Corporate Communications at Blue Star Limited, said the recognition was a collective achievement for his team, agency partners and long-standing support system.

Hingorani noted that Blue Star, an 82-year-old company, represents a rare legacy in India’s corporate landscape. Referring to data from the Bombay Stock Exchange, he pointed out that out of roughly 6,000 listed companies, only 29 are both over ₹10,000 crore in value and more than 80 years old.

“And Blue Star is one of them,” he said, adding that it was particularly gratifying for a legacy organisation to be recognised for being data-driven in its marketing approach.

Highlighting his long association with the company, Hingorani shared that Blue Star has been central to his professional journey. He joined the organisation as a trainee and has spent nearly three decades with the company, eventually rising to the role of CMO.

He also acknowledged his family’s support and thanked the organisers while accepting the honour.
