Tata Group-owned Air India marginally cut back on its advertising and promotional outlay in FY25 even as its topline expanded at a double-digit pace.

The carrier spent Rs 378.6 crore on advertising and promotional activities in FY25, down 2.9% from Rs 389.8 crore in FY24.

On the revenue front, Air India posted a robust 15.5% growth in operations income, which rose to Rs 76,754.1 crore in FY25 from Rs 66,433.4 crore in the previous year. Including other income, total income stood at Rs 78,635.6 crore, marking a 15.8% rise over FY24’s Rs 67,901.9 crore.

However, profitability remained a challenge. The airline reported a net loss of Rs 10,858.8 crore in FY25, widening 49.0% from a loss of Rs 7,285.3 crore in FY24.
