Bengaluru’s food scene was thrown into debate on October 3rd after actor, influencer and content-creator Danish Sait posted a video that quickly went viral. In the clip, he began by praising the city’s charm, including its weather, parks and even its traffic, before breaking into a rant about “mediocre pizza”. The situation ended with Danish being escorted out of the restaurant, but the bigger uproar was unfolding online.
Within hours, the hashtag #BoycottMediocrePizza was trending. Influencers and city foodies amplified the video, agreeing that Bengaluru deserves a better slice.
And just when the noise reached its peak, on October 4th, a reply came.
