The Caravan presents 2nd issue of Caravan Style and Living
Still in its initial phase, the next few issues of high-end style and luxury publication ‘Caravan Style and Living’ will be published quarterly alongside ‘The Caravan’
‘The Caravan’ has launched the second issue of ‘Caravan Style and Living’ as a companion to the November issue of the main magazine.
‘Caravan Style and Living’ was launched by ‘The Caravan’ in May 2012 as a high-end style and luxury publication tailored to the needs of the discerning fashionista. In keeping with the narrative style employed by ‘The Caravan’, ‘Caravan Style and Living’ offers articles by some of the country’s best writers, providing the reader with historical and cultural insight into the world of style and the personalities who inhabit it.
The cover story of the first issue featured Salma Hayek and offered a glimpse of her everyday life. The cover story of the second issue follows the rise of Amitabh Bachchan on the small screen in relation to the show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Examining his career turn also provides insight into what has made the show the phenomenal success that it is.
The other stories include a feature on Usha Hooda and her intricate tapestries; in her piece on the connection of fashion with the cerebral and cultural, Bandana Tewari reveals how women’s changing roles historically influenced changing trends and silhouettes; and, snippets of the lives of the artists from the India’s Modern movement are presented in the article detailing the compilation of Pablo Bartholomew’s book on his father, ‘The Art Critic’.
The magazine also brings with it lush photo features, and this month’s photo essay provides a peek into the workplaces and wardrobes of 10 creative Delhi-based professionals.
Still in its initial phase, the next few issues of ‘Caravan Style and Living’ will be published quarterly alongside ‘The Caravan’. The next issue will hit the stands in March 2013.
