The Association of Indian Magazines (AIM) is seeking an Executive Assistant to support its operations and drive key initiatives aimed at strengthening the magazine publishing industry in India. The position, based in Delhi, offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about media, publishing, and industry advocacy. The application deadline is February 8, 2025.
AIM, the representative body of magazine publishers in India, brings together over 40 leading publishers and more than 200 magazines under one umbrella. The association works towards fostering cooperation within the industry while engaging with key stakeholders, including consumers, advertisers, research organizations, and government agencies.
The Executive Assistant will play a critical role in assisting AIM’s leadership with organizational coordination, secretarial work, event logistics, and communication initiatives. Responsibilities include managing meetings for AIM’s Executive Committee and specialized sub-committees, overseeing press outreach and social media communication, conducting industry research, and supporting event planning for AIM’s conferences and workshops. The role also involves administrative tasks and maintaining key records.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, experience in social media management and digital communication, and excellent writing abilities. While prior experience in marketing, publishing, or media is preferred, basic graphic design and video editing skills would be an added advantage. AIM is open to considering both full-time and part-time engagements, with work-from-home flexibility. However, in-person office attendance at least twice a week, as well as presence for meetings and events, will be required.
As AIM operates as a non-profit industry body, the compensation will be structured accordingly. However, the association allows candidates the flexibility to pursue additional professional engagements, provided there is no conflict with their primary role. The position is particularly well-suited for individuals looking to build a career in the media and publishing sector.
Interested applicants are required to submit a résumé, two references, and a cover letter explaining their motivation for joining AIM. Applications should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line "Executive Assistant 2025" by midnight on February 8, 2025.
