Use QR codes to order products from retailer website

Hybrid retailing portal Aaramshop has introduced the use of Quick Reference (QR) codes to help the FMCG brands to engage with consumers.

This will allow brands to print their personalised QR code on their various marketing initiatives such as advertisements, packs, coupons, and so on. All a consumer needs to do is scan the QR code on the advertisement or coupon with his mobile phone application. The application will automatically add the product to the person’s shopping list.

The consumer can than choose a neighbourhood retailer (kiranawala) and place his order using the same application.

Commenting on the use of the application, Ashutosh Malik, Director, AaramShop, said, “This application would make advertising and marketing of FMCG/ CPG brands more effective as it would help connect the first mile of brand awareness with the last mile of brand purchase. The best part of this initiative is that AaramShop enables this to work within the entire eco-system of brands, retailers and the consumer – without charging any fee. This will lead to a wider acceptance and trials.”

The AaramShop services are currently available across most parts of NCR and would soon be available across other cities as well.
