Commenting how smartphones are increasingly empowering women and creating a world of equal opportunities, Menon said, “A lot of efforts are being made not only from brands but also with publishers who are interested in getting more and more women on board. Today, smartphone is the biggest trend and of course the biggest weapon with a population of 1.2 billion, smartphones are acting as the enabler and game changer when it comes to the adoption of internet.”
Vij spoke about the initiatives that her company has taken to provide more opportunities to women while Arora of DigitasLBi underlined how technology is bridging the gender gap. Murthy of Maxus believes that technology is ushering in a new revolution and the beneficiaries in a big way are going to be women.
Sharing his thoughts on the subject, Laxman of ABP News Network said digital media is a constantly evolving process and we need to look forward to creating content in order to get more women onto our properties and engaging them in a better fashion. “Women nowadays are communicating within closed network and we need to do more to protect them and the government also needs to enhance the IT act,” said Laxman. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
