With new language support, Meta expands its AI translation tools to help creators reach global audiences seamlessly on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta is taking another major step toward breaking language barriers on its platforms. The company has expanded its AI-powered dubbing and translation tools for Reels to include Hindi and Portuguese, in addition to English and Spanish. The feature allows creators to automatically translate, dub, and lip sync their videos, making content more accessible and authentic across diverse audiences on both Instagram and Facebook.

According to Meta, the multilingual dubbing tool, driven by Meta AI helps creators connect with a wider audience and enhances engagement by preserving the creator’s original tone and voice. Users can also choose to enable lip syncing, ensuring that the translated audio aligns naturally with their mouth movements for a more immersive experience.

Currently, the translation feature is free for all public Instagram accounts and Facebook creators with over 1,000 followers in regions where Meta AI is available. The update, Meta says, is part of its ongoing effort to build an inclusive, global community where creativity transcends language.

The company has also added controls allowing users to toggle translations on or off and view content in its original form. With Hindi now among the supported languages, Meta is clearly focusing on India, one of its largest and fastest-growing creator markets. The tech giant also confirmed that additional languages are on the way, reinforcing its vision to make Reels a truly borderless storytelling platform.
