Hungama, Nokia let fans cheer for IPL KKR team via Facebook app
Nokia has launched a Facebook app with Hungama to enable users to cheer on their team by playing and dedicating music on the social network.
Hungama and Nokia have collaborated to create a Facebook application to cheer on the IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team, of which Nokia is the principal sponsor. The application allows users to dedicate music to the entire team or individual players to cheer them on. The users can also dedicate tracks to their friends, which the company hopes will spread the reach of the campaign.
Siddhartha Roy, COO, Hungama, said, “Social networks have become the most preferred medium to connect with not only friends, but also our favourite film or sports personalities. People are not just interacting over the web, but also sharing their preferences in music, movies, sports, etc. People live their passion on Facebook, and Nokia gives its consumers and KKR fans another channel to display their passion via the Hungama MyPlay Application. Facebook users can now dedicate their favourite music tracks by using the ‘dedicate’ feature of Hungama MyPlay application to their chosen KKR players.”

The application will feature more than 450,000 music tracks and will enable users to listen to their favourite songs via live streaming, to dedicate songs to the team KKR players or friends on Facebook, create and share playlists.
