After 46yrs with BBDO, Pepsi chooses TBWA\Chiat\Day New York for Mountain Dew: Reports

Pepsi has chosen TBWA\Chiat\Day New York as lead creative agency for the Mountain Dew brand, according to media reports. The decision was reportedly taken following a “closed, Omnicom-only review”.

The account had been handled by Omnicom for 46 years.

Confirming the decision, Mountain Dew Vice President of Marketing Nicole Portwood was quoted as saying that the brand enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with BBDO New York and are grateful for the partnership.

“We’re excited about our new chapter with TBWA\Chiat\Day New York and look forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with Omnicom,” he was quoted further.

According to reports, BBDO first won the business in 1973.
