WPP is ‘Making Space’ for employees to recharge & reset
The initiative will be kicked off with a global, company-wide break from Friday 8th July to Monday 11th July
WPP has announced “Making Space” – a new initiative focused on giving people 'space’ to look after their wellbeing and inspire creativity.
Mark Read, WPP’s CEO, said: “Our people have consistently delivered great work for our clients and continued to win new business, helping us grow at the fastest rate in our history. Given the exceptional circumstances they’ve faced, it’s a truly extraordinary achievement. However, while we’ve shown that brilliant minds can excel in challenging conditions, we recognise they shouldn’t have to do that all the time.”
The initiative is being kicked off with a global, company-wide break from Friday 8th July to Monday 11th July, “giving everyone across WPP the space to recharge and refresh”.
Following the company-wide break in July, WPP is making space for inspiration – to celebrate our diverse communities, our work and our creativity – with a global series of events, experiences and performances across our campuses and offices, designed for our people.
Jennifer Remling, WPP’s CPO, said: “The past couple of years have been tough on us all and I’m so proud of the amazing work our people deliver day in, day out. We launched Making Space to give everyone a chance to reset and as part of our ambition to unleash the creative potential in every person at WPP. I’m excited to see this come to life as we continue to make space for our people to grow, learn and connect with one another in inspiring environments.”
