AKQA’s Chief Marketing Officer Sam Kelly has decided to move on from the agency after a 17-year-stint. AKQA is a digital design and communications agency owned by WPP.
Kelly took to LinkedIn and announced his departure. “1787 Awards, 117 Cannes Lions, and 84 Agency of the Year honours... After 17 remarkable years, it's time to say farewell to AKQA as Chief Marketing Officer. I've had the privilege of working alongside extraordinary talent, both clients and colleagues. AKQA has opened doors I never imagined possible and fundamentally shaped who I am today”, his LinkedIn post read.
Adding further, he said, “The people at AKQA truly define its essence – you are some of the most creative and innovative minds I've ever encountered. Stay true to your craft and vision. I've made lifelong friends on this journey who continue to inspire me daily”.
Kelly’s exit comes weeks after AKQA founder and CEO Ajaz Ahmed announced his resignation from the agency after 30 years.
