The IT department conducted raids at dentsu International’s office in Mumbai on Tuesday, sources privy to the development told e4m.
We sent a query to dentsu in this regard but no response was received till the time of publishing.
While media reports claimed that dentsu has asked its employees across India to work from home owing to the probe, employees of the agency in Mumbai told e4m that most of the staff has already been working from home since last month due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
This comes days after dentsu Creative bagging “Agency of the Year” title at Cannes Lions 2022.
The reason for the raid could not be confirmed.
Incidentally, Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo, which is one denstu’s clients, is facing a probe by the Enforcement Directorate over the charges of money laundering.
