Ad insertions of top 10 brands rose to 20.8% in week 23: BARC

In the brand's category, is the new entrant with 14,443 insertions

In week 23, the top ten advertisers witnessed an increase of 20.82% in the total number of ad insertions whereas top brands total number of insertions increased by 8.22% as per the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India data. 

The total insertions for the top ten advertisers stand at 5,32,744 insertions in week 23 as compared to 4,40,935 in week 22. Meanwhile, insertions for brands stand at 1,46,468 as compared to 1,35,346 in the previous week.

However, in the top ten advertisers list, the total number of insertions dropped by 5.53% for Hindustan Unilever which is the biggest advertisers on television. This week the advertiser registered 2,58,221 insertions as compared to 2,73,346 insertions in week 22. 

Reckitt Benckiser climbed back it's position at second rank with a 220% increase in insertions to 79,715 as compared to 24,866 in week 22. ITC in the third rank with 34,070 insertions.

Brooke Bond Lipton India bagged the fourth spot this week with 29,654 insertions followed by Procter & Gamble Home Products at fifth spot with 26,533 insertions and Procter & Gamble on the sixth spot with 24,644 insertions. Colgate Palmolive India stood at the seventh spot with 22,268 insertions and GCMMF at number eight with 21,184 insertions. Godrej Consumer Products and PolicyBazaar Insurance Brokers bagged ninth and tenth spot with 19,817 insertions and 16,638 insertions respectively. 

In the brands' category, Lux Toilet Soap continued to lead the list with 23,856 insertions followed by on the second position with 16,638 insertions and Sunsilk Black Shine on the third spot with 15,801 insertions. is the new entrant this week and bagged the fourth spot with 14,443 insertions and Dettol Toilet Soaps grabbed fifth spot with 13,596 insertions. 

Dove Hair Fall, Horlicks and Close Up Ever Fresh with 13,444 insertions, 13,406 insertions and 11,903 insertions bagged sixth, seventh and eighth position respectively. Lifebuoy Toilet Soap and Colgate Dental Cream stood at ninth and tenth spot with 11,787 insertions and 11,594 insertions respectively.
