Smriti Mandhana has returned to screens with OnePlus’s new 15R campaign, titled “Power On, Limits Off.” The campaign dropped just a day after she announced her split from fiancé Palash Muchhal, marking her second commercial appearance since the news.

In the ad she says, “For me, calm isn’t silence, it’s control.”

Many in the industry are calling it her version of a “revenge ad.” The film carries a quiet tone, a simple setting, and a message centered on strength and control, elements some viewers feel mirror the phase she is currently navigating.

The ad film follows Mandhana as she delivers a monologue about staying calm under pressure, learning from defeats, and choosing clarity when the world gets loud. She says she isn’t here to be compared to anyone and wants to finish games in her own way. The narrative centers on identity, confidence, and the power of staying composed.

This OnePlus campaign comes shortly after her Colgate Total ad film, in which she speaks about addressing problems before they grow bigger. Both ads carry a similar message of staying steady, focused, and in control.

Mandhana recently confirmed that her wedding to composer Palash Muchhal has been called off. The two had earlier postponed the ceremony due to a health emergency in the family and later ended the engagement mutually. They have since unfollowed each other on social media, and their teams have said the decision was made with clarity and respect.

Mandhana’s Strong Brand Presence

The OnePlus campaign is part of a larger celebrity-driven rollout. The brand has recently signed names like Jasprit Bumrah, Armaan Malik, and several other public figures to strengthen its presence in India.

Mandhana already has a strong track record with major brands. She featured in Rexona’s “Maidan Mein Utro” campaign, which encouraged women to claim public spaces, and was also part of Gulf Oil’s “The Unstoppables,” appearing alongside MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya. These campaigns have helped shape her image as a confident and inspiring athlete.

After the World Cup win, Smriti Mandhana was already a popular choice for brands. Recent social media attention related to her personal life has increased her visibility, prompting more brands to include her in campaigns.
