This week we looked at the upcoming Indian General Election and how political parties have leveraged social media platforms to carry forward their message. We also examined how the recent hoarding ban in Bengaluru has affected political campaigns for the election. The week also witnessed several high profile people movements, including Dentsu Aegis, South Asia's Chairman & CEO, Ashish Bhasin being given an expanded role to CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Greater South and Chairman and CEO of India. Amitesh Rao was also appointed as EVP & Head of McCann Delhi, while Manisha Lath Gupta joined Uber as Marketing Head for India. Tata Communications also named Sumeet Walia as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
As part of International Women's Day celebrations this week, we looked at the changing role of women in the media & marketing industry. The Pitch CMO Summit which was held also held this week with P&G's Abhishek Desai and Nerolac's Anuj Jain emerging as winners at the event. As the week came to a close, the NEONS OOH Conference and Awards took place, with Signpost winning Media Agency of the Year and Alok Jalan winning the Person of the Year award.
