Nissan Motor Corporation has integrated its communications organization into a single global network to strengthen collaboration and accelerate communication efforts.

The development was shared by Lavanya Wadgaonkar, Chief Communications Officer, Nissan Motor Corporation on LinkedIn, where she outlined the thinking behind the transition and its implications for both teams and the broader business.

"Our new integrated model dissolves boundaries that once limited collaboration, replacing them with a flexible ecosystem that responds to the rhythm of culture and technology. A strategist in Tokyo shaping ideas alongside a designer in India and a storyteller in Paris, all contributing to a single narrative in real time, is no longer an aspiration but a reality made possible by the commitment of our teams and the support of our business leaders who champion this change.”

The new structure is inspired by follow-the-sun model, allowing teams across time zones to operate continuously and collaborate more closely on global priorities. It brings communications teams in Japan, Europe and the America into a single global network reporting to chief communications officer Lavanya Wadgaonkar.

The move is designed to streamline operations across regions, enabling teams to work with clearer priorities, enhanced coordination across time zones, and faster access to shared expertise, tools, and creative resources. The integrated structure is also expected to create more cross-functional opportunities, allowing teams to build broader capabilities while focusing on high-impact initiatives.

Concluding her note, Wadgaonkar underscored the long-term vision behind the transformation, “The future belongs to organizations that dismantle tradition, embrace flexibility, and invest in networks rather than silos. Nissan Global Communications is shaping that future, made possible by the people who bring it to life and the leaders whose vision turns ambition into action.”
